DIRECTOR OF ARMENIAN RESCUE SERVICE OF THE MINISTRY OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

Colonel of rescue service SERGEY AZARYAN

Was born in July 31, 1955 in Kirovabad city.

In 1973 – 1977 studied in Stavropol military engineering, chemical protection higher college and joined the military forces in the structure of Ministry of Defense of USSR.

In 1977 was appointed to the position of the Head of  983th calculation – analytic group of Civil Protection Republican Staff of Georgian USSR.

In 1979 was moved to Armenian USSR and appointed to the position of the Commander of anti-chemical and anti-radiological defense platoon of  312th separated automatized regiment.

In 1981 was appointed to the position of Senior officer of Leninakan CP Staff.

In 1985 was appointed to the position of the lecturer of 302 courses of Civil Protection Staff of Armenian USSR.

In 1986-1988 studied in the Military-engineering Academy after V. Kujbishev in Moscow.

In 1988 was appointed to the position of  Deputy head of Civil Protection - Head of Staff of Shahumyan region Executive Committee of Yerevan city.

In 1989 was appointed to the position of the Head of anti –chemical and anti- radiological section of Republican Staff of Armenian USSR.

In 1990 was appointed to the position of Deputy head of Civil Protection of Yerevan city- Head of Staff.

In 1992 was appointed to the position of  First Deputy Head of CP Republican Staff.

In 1993 in accordance with the Decision of RA Government was appointed to the position of Deputy Head of RA Civil Protection – Head of Republican Staff.

In 1993-1997 from the very day of establishment of Emergency Management Administration under the Government of RA held the position of Head of state administration  of emergency situations – Deputy minister – Head of  RA Civil Protection Republican Staff.

In 1993 was conferred the military rank of “Colonel”.

In 1998-1999 held the position of Consultant to the Head of EMA under the Government of RA.

In 1999-2000 held the position of the Head of population and territories protection department of EMA under the Government of RA.

In 2000-2001 held the position of the Head of troops and rescue forces department of EMA.

In 2001-2005 was appointed to the position of the Head of Emergencies prevention and consequences elimination department of EMA under the Government of RA.

In 2005-2009 held the position of the Head of Population and territories protection department of ARS.

In 2009 by the Order N 70-Ն of the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Armenian Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of RA.
